We love to get closer to wildlife during a safari. But when you met a fearful animal accidentally, it becomes strange. You may suddenly need to take some actions to avoid any damage caused by them. Today’s story is about a wildlife photographer that accidentally met a playful leopard cub.
Sergey Kotelnikov is a photographer. He went to Namibia, near the border with Botswana for hunting. A leopard cub rushed towards Kotelnikov. He was quite nervous. But suddenly his fear disappeared as the cub calmly sat down in front of him. Sergey Ivanov was the fellow photographer of Kotelnikov. Both of them were in the Land Rovers and taking photographs. Both photographers climbed onto the private car after noticing the leopard on the long grass.
Both the photographers had noticed the leopard hiding on the side of the trail. They waited until the cub came to them to have the best shot. But Sergey was struggling with the camera when the leopard came closer.
He had no idea about what the leopard was doing. Even he didn’t spot the leopard cub approaching his van. The cub jumped onto the roof. It is very hard to imagine his feelings at that moment. Mr. Ivanov said that he was amazed while his friend was scared. Though he was on the top of the other vehicle, he was also scared. But it took only a few moments for them to relax. They understood that the big kitten was just playing. The leopard cub was not harming them but playful. The photographers came out of the cars and played with the little leopard. But the playing time was not soft. Kotelnikov’s camera broke into pieces. Kotelnikov had small bruises on his hands and face as leopard cub jumped to him. Though the leopard is a cub, she is so strong. He was really upset about the broken camera. But the joy they had was more than that of the sorrow. Both photographers were able to get closer to a wild animal on the last day.
